1. I'd prefer to see the most moderate Republican win.
It would make it harder for our own President to move right. Unfortunately, there don't seem to be any moderate Republicans anymore.

2. Thune would be a problem for us. Except for his religious streak he comes across as reasonable. nt

3. Here is what I fear
I would like to see Palin win, that would be the case if I was sure the election would not be stolen. If the election was not a clean election and votes were not suppressed or stolen, then it would be a total slaughter for Obama.

But if all horrors happened, she won the nomination and the election was rigged, we would be stuck with a batshit crazy grizzly killing whinny mouthed lunatic in the White House. And you thought bu$h was bad for the country, she would be the end for all of us.

4. Romney, because I worry Obama will lose in 2012
Obama is showing no signs of having changed anything about his approach after the devastating election, in fact, it appears he may be even more open to appeasing the republicans for the next two years. And then IMHO, he will be a toxic candidate and will have bad poll numbers and more than likely be defeated in 2012 when voters decide to vote for a real honest to goodness republican, instead of a Democrat pretending to be one.

In that case, I want a republican candidate who is the least objectionable, which is Romney to me, at least he is not crazy or an extreme right wing nut case like most of them.

5. Repub or Dem, I want what's best for our country. What happens
if Palin were to actually win? With all these TBer nuts around the country, there is no guarantee that she WOULDN'T win. It's Russian roulette. That's too disastrous of a possibility to even chance it.

7. I agree
Palin winning the presidency is unthinkable, don't even want to chance it so would prefer she not get the nomination in the first place.

6. Why is Ron Paul always excluded?
That would be fun in the debates.

8. I want Palin to run as an independent.
Which is what will most likely happen after she gets eaten alive during the primaries. Has she got enough time to start her own "Tea Party"? That's something else on my wishlist.

14. Palin, of course. She deserves the nod as the smartest living
Republican. And all this doomsday nonsense? Hooey. They said the same kind of stuff when Abraham Lincoln was running.

15. Ugh--gonna have to go with Romney. Nobody in the world likes him
except his family, so I doubt he'd win. BUT JUST IN CASE HE DOES, he governed a liberal state and appears to have at least two brain cells.
