In January, they were a demoralized, defeated blob, and because the agenda was tentative, and they were being wooed, they gathered steam, and then rolled over us..again & again & again.

Republicans have very few real tricks, but they employ them effectively, and have never restrained themselves. It was obvious what they would do once they were back on their feet.

The first thing the senate should have done, was to change the rules about filibusters and then pass a BUNCH of "good" stuff with 51 votes. It should have been things that had IMMEDIATE effects, so that people could see things changing..could feel it.
