Ok so the Israelis do silly shit like having
people walking the terminal in both uniformed and non uniformed capacity looking for things that "don't belong," and some folks here question this.

Care to ask what your LOCAL cops do regularly while going on patrol? They are looking for things and people that don't belong and that are acting nervous.

So their security has a questionnaire that they ask from people before they fly. They're establishing that you belong there.

This goes on regularly in the inner cities and even white areas of town in the US. It is not ok. and at times leads to legal cases, but most of the time, they don't break any laws, and nobody is harassed much. Actually our cops harass people in the inner city far more than Ben Gurion Security People do most of the time.

Do they use profiles? Yes, so do we...

The difference is that this is now affecting middle america...

Oh and these things they're doing at the Airport are NOT terry stop patdowns.

Now why hasn't any of this done in American Airports? COST... and WHO BENEFITS? Trust me it is not the regular traveller, which is also something else that is happening. Ten years ago none of you would accept this... think about this, none of you would...

Now you do?

Well, some of you.

Oh and having an eye for things that well, don't belong, might have saved MY life... after all one of my customers had a wonderful 25 caliber gun in the buckle of his belt. Should I have not removed this gun from him? Perhaps get shot?

2. Good for you
I made the day of two women wearing Hajibs. Their companion was not present since he went to the loo.

Two men started harassing them and I got in the middle of that one.

When he came out, he was surprised that a Jew did that.

I pointed out to him that I don't tolerate that, don't care who is the target.

I've had coffee with them a few times.

3. ...
I used to work in Houston's oil patch. There were two women I worked with from Iran. I remember going to lunch with them in a group fairly regularly. The mall was a good seven blocks away. Invariably, these women would stop along the way to give alms to the homeless. Not just sometimes. Every time. They would smile at them, make eye contact, and hold their hand when they gave them some money.

Whenever I saw them do this, I thought to myself: This is the real spirit of Islam. It always put a knot in my throat.

And it still does today.

12. You think?
You think being invaded, slaughtered, and expelled, might have made them a wee bit testy?

Maybe that's why IDF is so hyper-sensitized these days too?

13. I am not talking about Israel
but WESTERN CULTURE in 1600 or so, and the Reformation.

Here is the real cliff's notes

Before it the Local Parishes took care of the poor, they were seen as the image of christ

After the reformation, and especially the English Civil War, efforts to badge the poor and make sure they deserved the help (no help for able bodies, shiftless lazy young men) were implemented.

The poor went from being the image of christ to being seen as leeches of society.

That is what I am talking about... and if this sounds familiar to RNC efforts to justify hating the poor, it is no coincidence.

Some other religions haven't lost the let's help the poor side.

6. That's beautiful - and inspirational. It's probably the true teaching of most
religions, but these women were living it.

I hope they're well and happy.

7. Last week I was traveling through Chicago
In addition to the bull shit scanning and groping, they had an officer was walking the line talking to people. He stopped at every passenger, asked them a few questions and moved on.

Why can't we do that everywhere?

10. That talking should be done by two of them ALL the time
and everywhere. And it should start well before you reach the counter to check your bags in.
