3. The elites were buying the peace by supporting the safety nets

With those under fire more people will lash out in anger.

Really, those welfare, unemployment, and pension benefits now being threatened by the elites are the only thing keeping them safe so far.

4. But did you see (fill in the blank) on DWTS????!!!!
That's what really will quell any insurrection. No one will grab their pitchfork until the latest entertainment is over, and there's always another one. . . . .

9. My pension plan is being discontinued
I'll get a lump sum, but no more. I haven't been that that place long, so it won't be much.

10. You have more faith in the masses, or at least those who vote Republican, than
I do. I think these slimes can convince them of anything if they just keep stirring up the the hatred and fear (and they've developed it into an art form).

2. Ed Schultz blasted the GOP tonight for cutting off unemployment
while wanting to extend tax cuts for the top 2%.

I defended extension of unemployment benefits to a friend who questioned their length. Not everyone can move, not everyone has the ability to get retrained, and there certainly aren't enough new jobs created by past tax cuts or stimulus.

5. 18 Democrats voted No or didn't vote.
Malloy points out that those 18 votes
would have been enough to pass the bill.
Have those Dems been named anywhere?

15. germany has ten yrs UE benefits WE have JOB SHORTage of 30 million--->
Edited on Thu Nov-18-10 11:58 PM by billlll
OCTOBER 2010 UNEMPLOYMENT DATA
          (U.S. BUREAU OF LABOR STATISTICS)

Officially unemployed: 14.8 million (9.6%)
Hidden unemployment: 15.7 million

Total: 30.3 million (18.9% of the labor force)

http://www.njfac.org

CREATE JOBS:
-Job growth then ('48 to '68) was 14%/yr.

..But, on the other hand, tax cuts at the top KILL jobs...

... 86% drop

Example - look at the bush cuts... Job growth 2%/yr. after bush tax cut in 2001.

REASON: when money gets stuck at the top, it is no longer used to buy factory output. Factories can't sell.. so they close. Jobs vanish. Recession begins.

---Called "underconsumption" or "overproduction"

--Source----

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x9545549

Repeat: NO program cuts, NO tax cuts needed.

ZERO UNEMPLOYMENT:

PS: ZERO unemployment overnight, with the "new WPA" idea of Michael Moore and Robert Reich ( Clinton Secretary of Labor ). For TOTAL employment forever, have a PERMANENT WPA. Go to

http://www.njfac.org

END DEBT:
91% Ike's top tax rate would end Debt in 3 years then fund all our Programs 2 pre-RR levels + higher

Bill Maher keeps repeating this...

Listen up

-Folks at the top DID pay Ike's 91%. When the tax was cut later, revenues dropped. Same happened in the Bush years.

17. Even the Reagan Administration didn't cut unemployment
It was also colloquilly known as anti-riot insurance. I wish we would get that mad, but congress is full of millionaires who do not care about us.

Darrel Issa is worth 300 million dollars. We know who he represents. Not us.
