it doesn't have to be that way. :( If we only had Leaders and representatives who put the country and it's People first, we could get out of this mess in one piece. But thatyis just asking w-a-y too much for this many in this lot. They are either too corrupt or too pathetic to make a real difference.

James Carroll writes an oustanding column for The Boston Globe. He wrote another book about when he was a young Catholic priest, protesting the war in Vietnam at the same time his dad worked in the Pentagon as an Army general. In "House of War," he describes the history of the Pentagon, from its construction to its current "life" as the symbol of the national security state, shaping our nation's destiny. You're in for an absolutely fascinating read, Mimosa.
