Defense Tech Tries To Ratchet Up The Fear Factor
Edited on Sat Nov-20-10 08:14 AM by unhappycamper
unhappycamper note: Since the ‘Pentagon’ (DoD? Gannett?) has ‘requested’ that I only post one paragraph from articles on Army Times, and Airforce Times, To keep in that same (new) tradition, I will also do the same for for articles on Navy Times, Marine Corps Times, stripes.com and military.com.
To read the article in the military's own words, you will need to click the link.

Read all about Fair Use here. It sure is beginning to smell like fascism.

China Getting Serious About Offensive Ops

Continuing the theme of a newly assertive China, the Congressionally-mandated U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission’s latest report to lawmakers highlights the fact that the previously inward-focused nation is getting serious about offensive operations outside its territory.

1. Can I post a paragraph?
The document goes on to warn that this could someday threaten U.S. interests in the region, including “freedom of navigation.” It also says that Asian nations may want to increase ties to the U.S.*** in order to hedge against rising Chinese power. The paper goes on to discuss more than just defense; it touches on everything from Chinese alternative energy initiatives to Beijing’s “Internet-related Activities.“

Wow, I didn't copy that link, it just appeared!

*** is this a tacit invitation for Asian nations to ask to be occupied? I saw a map early this year that showed we have bases ringing china...

2. " getting serious about offensive operations outside its territory"
Those megalomaniacs, just where do they get off thinking like that? Don't they know that "offensive operations outside its territory" is solely the prerogative of the United States of America and its satraps, puppets and flunkies, and that's the way God wants it to be?

3. do the war pigs really think that we can have a traditional war with China?
where we send tanks and trucks with the occasional airstrike or ship launched missle against the Chinese mainland and they will not retaliate in kind? We're not talking about poor people hunkering in caves. China could destroy us before breakfast if they were so inclined and the war pigs wouldnt have the opportunity to sell shit to the industrial war machine. Afghanistan, Iraq, and Pakistan are gifts to the war machine but China....that wouldnt even be funny.

Or could we fight another proxy war like Vietnam Part Two where the Chinese side with North Whogivesashit and we sponsor South Whogivesashit that drags on for a generation. I hope its someplace warm
