Katie COURIC is just another right wing fake news talking head. Is Faux Noise next for her?
Katie COURIC opened her show last night saying it was a bad day for the Obama administration and went on to say how the government could only get one conviction against the Bali terrorist bomber.

I watched Katie COURIC also not even say who blocked the equal pay bill. She just called the blockers of the bill "the opposition (to the bill)" without saying they were republicans. In two other instances on her show pertaining to other issues COURIC REFUSED to put any blame on republicans. Instead she opened her non-news program by saying it was a bad day for the Obama administration for not getting more convictions against the Bali terrorist bomber. COURIC didn't say the majority of the convictions were rendered impossible because Bush and republicans TORTURED the prisoner. Neither did she say the terrorist would spend at least 20 years in prison and then not go free because he would continue to be 'detained'. COURIC spewed out the faux noise talking points just as well as the rabid liars on faux noise could.

When talking about how well General Motors was doing she never mentioned President Obama once, or how without his leadership in saving GM, 1.4 million direct jobs would have been eliminated. And those 1.4 million jobs were just the tip of the iceberg. The amount of economic and personal damage to millions of others and millions of communities would have been staggering. But the corrupted Katie COURIC didn't give one line of credit to President Obama for the risk he took to help millions of Americans.

Katie COURIC is NOT a journalist. She's just another right wing media whore. She might as well work for faux noise. There are no excuses for the deliberate LYING, and LYING by OMISSION, by COURIC last night. She sounded similar to Bill OReilly, Sean Hannity or Glenn Beck last night. She's definitely a right winger and is nothing but a corporate whore who would like to see President Obsma fail.

How can Democrats ever win another election when the media is almost all owned by corporations and staffed with propagandists like Katie COURIC?

(Anyone know how to contact Katie COURIC directly at CBS?)

1. I doubt she writes that stuff herself
She's bought and paid for by CBS, and is just another over-paid talking head.

2. Agree. She is a news reader, not an actual reporter.
CBS is who you need to yell at.

4. Katie has gotten a promotion
She's now also Managing Editor of the news. So I think she actually is now more responsible for what comes out of her mouth as an anchor.

18. Yep. All the other networks are spouting the same talking points.
NPR and PBS included. Heard that crap just this morning on both.

3. Hey, she helped destroy Sarah Palin in 2008!
Between Katie's interview and Tina Fey's ridicule, Palin was revealed as an idiot.

5. So true! And by asking the most mundane of questions
She's gotten a major pass from me for that unintended heroism on her part. But now that pass has expired, and I'm getting aggravated at the too prevalent right-wing tilt. I'm not SURE she's always right wing, but I'm getting more and more suspicious.

6. I watch network news maybe one time a year
likely even less, last month I was doing some cleaning and for some reason CBS news was on. The opening story from Katie was the elections in CA.

First segment was Brown staffer whore comment on Meg, followed by Boxer being in a fight. Viewers were left with the impression that the races were tight, bad news for Dems. Final results, Brown wins 54 - 41, Boxer wins 52 - 42.

I don't put it on Couric, it is all what is 'decided' as news by the brass.

7. I can't speak to what Couric really believes
Though if I were betting on it, I'd say she votes Democratic. But in any case, TV viewers apparently don't see her the way you do:

14. Thanks for the link, but most polls & people are clueless.
Ignorance will destroy this country. And with the complete ineptness of the MSM in the US I don't see that changing any time soon. I rely on the BBC/Guardian and other foreign sources. The US media is a joke, just like corporate owned 'anchors'.

16. I won't argue with you on the first point
People often are clueless -- but they aren't blind or deaf either. They may have trouble understanding nuance or complicated matters, but they know what they like and what they don't like. And apparently conservatives don't like Katie Couric. While our media has plenty of issues, you should also keep in mind that it could be much, much worse. In places where the media is state-controlled or heavily intimidated by the state, it really is truly worthless.

17. Good point...
I went all through the bu$h years wondering why no one in the MSM in the US did what they were supposed to do. Instead they all acted like cheerleaders who blindly participated in the start of an unnecessary war. Not one MSM asked the simple question, 'how could Iraq attack the US?'. The MSM thrives on conflict and war is the ultimate conflict. They make money off of conflict so they had a monetary reason for saying nothing as the blundering and corrupt idiot bu$h took our country to war. The BBC, the Guardian, etc... WERE asking questions and I had to rely on them for the real news for the entire 8 years under the dunce-in-thief.

I never heard of Olbermann until January 2009. I wish I knew SOMEONE in the media was telling the truth. All of the major news anchors were nothing but cheerleaders for the bu$h regime. Had they done their jobs the Iraq war would never have started and hundreds of thousands of human beings would still be alive.

Although the chart in the link is interesting it's just a snapshot of people's perception at the moment the poll was taken. Since most people are almost clueless the poll is insignificant and irrelevant. Most people can't even name one member of the supreme court or even know we have 3 branches of government. The citizenry of the US are the most ignorant people in the world given that they are surrounded by all the resources they need to be good, informed citizens. Ignorance is the biggest threat to our country than any outside enemy.

10. Just because she did one right thing in her interview with Palin doesn't mean
she's ever been anything other that a happy propagandist for her overlords. She just lucked out that Sarah is braindead.

12. she already let that be known years ago when she admitted
she DID GET TALKING POINTS FROM W re: Iraq, after first denying it of course. I no longer watch tv info-tainment, they've chosen to make themselves irrelevent. I check the weather sometimes & watch Stewart/Colbert. Real news is online.

13. And if you know a single right-winger...
...then you know that to them, Couric is clearly and obviously a left-wing media whore who never reports the terrible, horrible things that the Left does, lies by omission when she doesn't talk about how such and such was Bill Clinton's fault, or his penis's, and how she set up poor Mrs. Palin during the 2008 election and they were all in a tizzy over getting Obama elected that without them it never would happen, and...how can they ever win an election with the media out there reporting the liberal side and the liberal side only every night.

You couldn't pay me enough to be a newscaster anymore. She probably is quite a bit more on our side (although I can't say for sure) but we're more than happy to excoriate her because she doesn't jump up and down and yell REPUBLICANS DID IT! every time a bill doesn't pass. In an age where people at least CLAIM to want bipartisanship (a line of bull if I've ever heard one, but still) and the center is somewhere just to the left of Pinochet, what more is she going to be allowed to do by her corporate owners? I don't think its a left or right thing, it's a money thing. Corporate money.
