The misery of what is happening in Haiti is unbelievable. Warning, some of these pictures are
graphic. Is there anyway to slow the tide of the cholera that is taking so many lives? Where is all the money that people donated after the earthquake? CNN, Dr. Gupta, Anderson Cooper and so many more were getting special recognition with their in your face reporting from Haiti. Now they seldom mention the current suffering.

1. The way to slow it is potable water distribution
and better sanitation. It spreads through drinking water that is contaminated by human waste to people who are too poor to be able to afford enough fuel to Pasteurize it.

Likely the safe water sites were contaminated when the two almost hurricanes blew through and caused massive flooding.

5. You can't clean up filth
when all you have to clean it up with is filthy. :(

We've known this was going to happen for almost a year, and now it's happening.

The Army Corps is too busy building crap for permanent occupations in Iraq and Afghanistan to protect people near our shores. :(

2. Is it true that none of the money the US wanted to send down there has gone?
I heard that some senator (Coburn?) was holding it up as he wanted to tag some other crapola stuff onto the bill...

3. Clean Water and antibiotics
and what people donated was half of the bucket. Realize most of the money we promised is being held back by DeMint. No, I am not kidding.

6. Nothing will stand in the way of profits.
So a couple hundred thousand people may die, that is just the cost of "respecting authority" and doing business.
:sarcasm:

I no longer believe that there are any depths to which we will not sink in our pursuit of Empire.

When will these poor people ever get a break. I don't know how in the face of back to back tragedies they maintain an unwavering faith in God.

8. Just authorize and help finance Cuba to go in and take the lead.
Cuba knows well how to get this sort of job done, and has the human resources quite locally available.

11. Sen. Tom Coburn is blocking Haiti relief funds because he objects to the creation of a senior Haiti
coordinator — a position that would cost a paltry $5 million over five years — when the United States currently has an ambassador to the country…

12. Where did all the money go? Millions and Millions and there's little resolution.
It's heartbreaking to know there's not much else we here can do. If Clinton and Poppy and the Money by so many can't bring any relief...then one would hope countries would open borders for the Haitians to come in and hopefully a better life would be there for them with some subsidies. They are so vulnerable to hurricanes and floods in the coming years that maybe they need a chance to relocate.

13. clinton & poppy are in charge. heckofajob.
i guess they like the results they're getting.

they sure pushed their sweatshop deals through fast enough. guess they were too tired to work on rebuilding basic infrastructure.

face it, our leaders WANT dead haitians. i'm very serious.

Yep

Poppy really deserves that award...merely judging by the great concern and effort he's exhibited in Haiti.
