LTTE - TSA security scans

I think we should take our griping about TSA security scans to another level. Contact your senators and representatives and demand that they pledge to undergo the same scans that we have to.

I'm submitting the following LTTE to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

I call upon both senators and all thirteen congressional representatives from Georgia to pledge, in writing and in public, that they will submit to the TSA security scans whenever they fly commercial aircraft. They also need to pledge that their spouses and children will submit to the scans whenever they fly.

It's a little known fact that all Senators and all Congressional Representatives can opt-out of the entire security system at all public airports. All they have to do is flash their official IDs and they don't have to be scanned or groped like their constituents.

Contact your representatives and DEMAND that they follow the same rules like citizens are being forced to follow.

1. Good suggestions. I think people are calling but there does need

to be a coordinated effort. I was hoping that the group that did the Keith Olbermann petition would start a similar one for this.

There is a site up now that is organizing people into how to protest, such as pledging not to fly until our Constitutional rights are restored eg.

4. While I question LTTE in an era where few people read newspapers

I do like asking congresscritters to have to go through this. Perhaps their staff will inform them of what it's like to be treated like a terrorist in your own country.
