How many would-be bombers would not be aware of the scans and body searches??
And if they are aware, would they not try another way? I think common sense would tell us that is probably what they would do?

This is not making the passengers any more secure. They need to think like "terrorists". Sabotage the plane in some other way? When it stops in Europe? Or when it's tires are changed? Or when the coolant is checked? There is no way to be 100% "safe". This humiliating check by TSA is useless. I would bet that the terrorist act will not be with someone carrying something aboard a plane, unless it is in his anal cavity? Then, what's the next step? Will you be agreeable to that??

1. How many would be burglars would not be aware of locks and alarm systems?

And yet we put them on our houses and businesses because they do REDUCE the risk or burglaries, if not eliminating them altogether.

4. But locks can be picked and alarms can be by passed it is just more
scam then anything else because it depends on where you live that determines the risk of burglary more them any other factor. The majority of people will never experience a break in yet it makes them feel safer so they pay the price for feeling secure but if someone is determined to break in nothing will stop them from doing it. Like terrorists.

5. If you make it hard enough, you reduce the number of people who
will try. That does reduce the number of incidents.

2. They'll look for the weak points
If enough people raise hell and passenger security is cut back, that's the direction they'll look.

3. There are smart terrorists, and there are dumb terrorists.
There are relatively few smart terrorists, and no shortage of dumb terrorists. The purpose of the TSA is to deter the dumb terrorists. The purpose of the intelligence agencies is to do what you're talking about: identify and stop the smart ones.

7. Somebody posted a thread on a new underwear that hides your junk
My thought is that underwear would be more likely to get you pulled for a pat down. Sucks, but trying to hide something from security, even intrusive security, is not a good idea

Security checks are useless.

9. I was actually on a flight watching the news when the cargo test bomb toner cartridge bullshit was
being announced. Of course, they're aware of the human screening measures and of course they're aware of the lack of cargo screening. And, if our law enforcement agencies are so inept that they are no longer able to hear chatter about planned attacks, they need to be completely gutted and restarted. We knew about 9/11 and did nothing. That wasn't accidental.
