I will be completely unsurprised to see this thread sink like a brick. Nevertheless. if you agree with that statement--answer me how?

The "drown Obama's government in a bathtub" folks in Congress aren't going to let it happen. And god help the President if he rolls back the enforcement now; he'll be eaten alive by BOTH sides.

But maybe, just maybe, if we here at DU can step away a moment and look at the realities here, we can come up with a solution (and I mean that sincerely--I've seen some stellar political wisdom here at times).

I do think that someone in DC is paying attention, but I'm ever the optimist, too.

Who actually have good pay and beanies. They are not mall cops regardless of what you read here.

We need more K-9 teams as well as trained personnel to interview people. There is no money in that, always follow money.

We need a few more perimeters and we need to ask others how to do this far less intrusively.

Oh and morale's gone to the shitter by the way.
