How Unemployment Insurance Helps Families and the Economy
November 18th, 2010

1. Thanks for the reminder. Food stamps are also good for the economy.
The money is all spent (not hoarded), and it goes right back into the local economy.

2. Welfare is good for the economy too.

You aren't disputing it, are you? Economists will tell you that food stamps are good for the local economy.

Edit to add that, no, saving money is not very helpful to the economy.
