Yes. Republicans in the Senate and House refused the president's invitation to meet after the election. That says it all. Everything they're doing is intended to get him out of office. (61 responses)

10. I Can't Tell If You Can Vote Multiple Times

I voted (it took forever to record the vote), and it showed that there had been 329 responses. Then I voted again, waited again, and it showed that there had been 332 responses. So I have no idea whether that second vote counted or not.

I may have screwed up, though, because I wasn't sure which "Yes" to vote for.

15. Oh, you get some doozys from the paper.

One of my favorites is when they polled to find out what people thought about intelligent women staying home to raise their kids, or something incredibly stupid like that. The thing is, this isn't a Liberal paper. Conservatives must be worried about intelligent women staying home for some other reason.

19. In public, they demand an end to the spending. In private, they are the beneficiaries

of most government subsidies, not to mention, they were responsible for the largest spending spree in the history of the federal government when they controlled Congress.

In public, the rail against the stimulus. In private, they beg Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood for more money for their projects and send letters to other federal government heads, asking for stimulus funds for their respective pet projects.

In public, they claim to want to reduce the deficit. In private, they voted against PAYGO; push for tax cuts for the very wealthy; want more defense spending; and haven't devised a plan to actually slash the deficit. As Rachel Maddow cogently put: watch what Republicans DO and REPORT it in the news; don't just report what they say, then paint what they SAY as news!!

In public, they claim to support small business and job creation. In private, they vote against the small business bills and want to reward big businesses and multinational corporations that send jobs overseas.

In public, they vocally called for policies like Cap n Trade; a health care mandate (Grassley and Hatch); a deficit reduction commission; and a repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell. In private, they filibuster and ultimately vote AGAINST these measures, even when these policies embody Republican ideals.

In public, they claim to support more bipartisanship and ASSERT that they want to work with the president. In private, they filibuster most of the president's nominated judges and agency nominees. And they work to bring about "Obama's Waterloo," and promise to "break him," and suggest that their TOP PRIORITY (PERIOD) is making sure that Obama is a one-term president.

So, we are asked whether or not there is a deliberate, concerted effort to sabotage and ultimately defeat President Obama and his agenda? The answer? HELL YES!!!
