So what will be in the George W. Bush Presidential Library?
I’m willing to bet that the “Mission Accomplished” banner won’t be there.

Perhaps there will be documents showing W’s greatest speeches, but I can’t think of one.

Perhaps there will be photos of flag draped coffins – Oops, sorry. We’re not allowed to see them.

And you can bet there won’t be any photos from Abu Ghraib or Guantanimo. George is proud of ordering torture, but pictures of it are verboten.

Maybe there will be some photos of our Constitution. After all, who would recognize a pile of shredded paper?

Do you think there will be some vintage photos like George trying to walk through the wrong door in China, or his squeezing German Chancellor Andrea Merkel’s shoulders, or strolling while holding hands with a Saudi Prince?

I’m pretty sure there won’t be that photo of him looking out the window of Air Force One as he flies over New Orleans.

One that probably will be there is good Ole George, standing on the rubble of the WTC, bullhorn in hand, promising that we’ll get the bastards who did this. Of course, we won’t hear of any follow up of those who are suffering lung disease and have died from working on the wreckage. And about “getting” that Bin Laden guy …

Why, you wonder, is even one cent going toward building a Presidential Library for this loser? Well, the reason is to perpetrate the myth.

Don’t ever forget that those who control the message control it all. The Republicans control the message. Given another 10 years or so, I’m pretty sure that the media will have rewritten history to make George W. Bush one of our greatest presidents, and to portray Obama as one of our worst.

I’d sure like to hear from you regarding what you think will be in the George W. Bush Presidential Library.

1. ''Mission Accomplished' banner could go up in Bush library'
As former president George W. Bush broke ground Tuesday in Dallas for his presidential library, officials weighed whether or not to display one item that few know is being held in storage there: the "Mission Accomplished" banner.

The banner was the backdrop aboard the USS Lincoln during Bush's televised speech May 1, 2003, to proclaim the end of major combat in Iraq. It caused controversy in the months that followed when violence in Iraq spiraled.

The banner now sits in storage and will become part of the library's collection. A decision on how or whether to display the red-white-and-blue banner hasn't been made, said Alan Lowe, director of the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum.

Lowe, who is employed by the National Archives, a federal agency, said the military shipped several items, including the banner, to the archives in 2005. About six months ago, the archives transferred the banner to the temporary site for the library in Lewisville, Texas. The permanent library, the George W. Bush Presidential Center, will be on the Southern Methodist University campus in Dallas. It is to open in 2013.

10. Wouldn't you rather see the photo of George looking clueless
with "My Pet Goat" in his hands, after being informed of the WTC?

Actually, this is not a humorous moment. It is the President of the United States, frozen in a moment of incomprehensible confusion and cluelessness.

Virtually any president would have been shocked and frozen for a moment. But I truly doubt that any of them would have gone on sitting there and reading.

No one knows, or will ever know what was going on in this man's mind at that instant.

But for what it's worth, here's my guess. "Oh, shit. What do I do now? Karl, where are you?"
