Demonstrators from the Westboro Baptist Church visited Wayne State on the morning of Nov. 18 to protest Jewish people and other demographics.

Four members of the WBC –- which is based in Kansas and is best known for its explicit homophobia and disruption of military funerals – organized at the intersection of Second and Warren avenues, near the Life Science building. snip

According to the WBC’s website, the “Jews have spent centuries coming up with ‘traditions’ that have nothing to do with scripture much less obeying the commandments of God. They have made an idol out of their unscriptural rituals.”

The website also called Jewish people Christ-killers.

in the early 90's, I caught their act on a talk show.They enraged me, of course. What REALLY gets my goat is that no one cared when they were protesting the funerals back then,it was when they started showing up at soldiers' funerals that america got outraged.

14. Jews didn't kill Jesus. Romans did.

I suppose that's the one thing about such bigots I really can't stand: the willful ignorance. They want to believe Jews killed Jesus, and no amount of real history will supplant that. Never mind that Romans ran the country, that they killed 3300 or more others just like Jesus on that same hill. Get outta line? Cause trouble? Nailed to a cross.

Of course, none of these Jew hating "Christians" follow any of the core teachings of Jesus. He was born a Jew and died a Jew, having never heard the word "Christ."
