Car thief yells at mom for leaving toddler unattended

A young mother goes fishing at the beach with her 2-year-old son and her boyfriend in Galveston, Tex.

The couple decides it's too cold for the toddler so the mom sticks him in the car, turns on the heater, and heads back to the beach where her boyfriend is trying to catch a big one.

A homeless man walks by and he decides to steal that car, and drives away, not realizing there's a child inside.

When the thief sees the toddler, he drives back to the beach, finds the couple, and yells at the mom for leaving her child alone in the car. The homeless man then runs off.

The district attorney decided not to file charges against the woman and her boyfriend for leaving the child in the car, according to Click2Houston.com.

5. Why do so many people
apparently have so little apparent sense and yet still have kids? Something basic is lacking, and it can't be legislated or educated and certainly can't be downloaded through a USB port.

8. Just ask any teacher
That lack of sense seems to be getting worse. How do we make it better?

16. Eh, the definition of "sense" has changed a lot in the last fifty years..
I used to sit outside in the car on the street in the evenings in the mid 50's listening to the Lone Ranger on the radio (only one that would pick up the station after dark). I guess I was about six or seven at the time and no one thought anything of it at all.

No seatbelts, no kid seats, no bike helmets, we played from dawn to dusk outside unsupervised whenever school wasn't in session. My brother was hit by a car and very nearly killed walking home from school, we still walked home from school the same way every day after he was healed about eight months later..

10. As with so many questions about life, the most likely answer is

Beer.

12.  I could never understand
how "conservatives", and I use that word very loosely, because the concept of L vs R is really a myth more intended by our MSM manipulators to divide us and make profits for themselves. But why do they really want to equate conservatives with visions of goodness instead of reality?

Why are they not encouraging abortion as an option and in reality demanding it be used by those who neither have the ability nor wherewithal nor family support group to raise children competently? Instead they sidestep it and they want ill-equipped Americans to have more children.

I will never ever forget ..... that years ago I registered and joined "Free Republic". My first post was basically the same as this post and I was immediately banned. How can irresponsible parenting ever suffice as a reason to support a policy of no-abortion?

18. That's why I'm pro-abortion
Too many idiots are choosing to have kids they will abuse and neglect before inflicting them on society and defending their every sociopathic act of defiance against mommy and daddy.

11. Unbelievably....
there are dolts roaming around who think people like these have a "right" to procreate, and to spawn as many offspring as they want to.

And I'm not even talking about Freeper types.

Personal freedoms!!!

Yeah, great. Stupid people get to exercise their "freedoms" at the expense of the innocent children.

14. The couple decided it was too cold for the kid, so they put it in the car and went back to get the
gear. It's not clear whether the car was within sight or not the whole time, but I've certainly done stuff like this, several times.

13. I am SO glad there were no charges filed in this case. The chatty blog that rewrote the original
news story got it wrong.

From the blog:
The couple decides it's too cold for the toddler so the mom sticks him in the car, turns on the heater, and heads back to the beach where her boyfriend is trying to catch a big one.

From the original story:
The mother took the child back to the car, started the engine and heater and then went back to the beach to help her boyfriend get the fishing gear, police said.
