3 Year Old Mandy's Bear was Taken by TSA for Screening then they Body Searched Her!

News Reporter from Channel 39 relates his experience with his daughter going through TSA Security. As a Parent he was appauled...but as a Media Employee he did a very good job of trying to explain HOW TSA needs to get better for children flying with parents...so that this never happens again.

This is an employee of CHANNEL 39 in CHATTANOOGA, TENNESEE!

EDIT: From video it seemed it was a Male doing the search...it's possible on second and third view of mine that it could have been a Female TSA Employee having to deal with this situation. It's blurred in the video.

But...should it matter whether it's a Male or Female? It was a violation of this little kid in front of her parents after her bear was taken from her and people were "TOUCHING HER!"

Should it matter the SEX of the TSA EMPLOYEE or the VIOLATION?

That little kid had her BEST FRIEND (her Bear)...Remember what we were at that age...TAKEN FROM HER...then these PEOPLE ARE TOUCHING HER and GROPING. Does it MATTER THE SEX OF THE TSA EMPLOYEE? Or, is it just PLANE TRAUMA to a CHILD!

that they run my backpack through, but if any parent is on trial for coldcocking a TSA agent that groped their kid, I'm going for jury nullification if I'm in a position to do that.

But, given how passengers are anxious and wanting to get through the "line" quickly...Little Mandy..had her Bear taken from her too soon for her little brain to understand or her Parents to Explain to her what was happening that could have comforted her. That Mandy THEN was "Touched Up" by a TSA AGENT (as if she's a Terrorist Bomber from Al Quaeda" makes it even more upsetting that she got "Patted Up" in her body (after her "Baby Bear Comfort"}was taken from her and even a 3 Year Old has a sense of VIOLATION...and GOES OVER THE TOP!

If you are a PARENT...you will understand..If you are a CITIZEN OF USA YOU SHOULD PROTECT YOUR

is put through a scanner, that can be explained in advance to a child. I don't know how you explain that the man/woman in the blue uniform is going to touch you "down there" where you've been taught to say something if an adult does that.

if you took my remarks about x-raying the bear as being justified. I would presume that this child's parents would pass muster as being ordinary, everyday American citizens, if that is the case, their child should be beyond reproach. It's just that I've gotten used to having my backpack scanned, and given that I'm not a criminal terrorist, it really is a shameful waste of resources.

It's time to end the hysteria, the government already knows enough about each of us, it can easily determine which of us are zero threat to our fellow passengers. And that's 99.9999% of us.

36. Collective amnesia... this happened to my daughter (except for the bear)

in 2003.

My daughter was 5yo and airsick (i.e. clinging to mom). The took her out of eyesight (crying and sick) and proceeded to frisk her and the rest of us separately.

My big beef with the issue is that it was never/rarely reported under Bush and NOW. PRESTO, we have a democratic President, FOX news launches it and NOW the horror... THE HORROR!

38. The reason it is reported now is because TSA has introduced

the new pat down procedures. I have been patted down by TSA "old style" and it was not invasive.
What is described by passengers who experienced it now is much more invasive and includes pat down of genital areas.
