If TSA screeners had any dignity
they would go out on strike. A double message from both passengers and the TSA agents would send a powerful message to the insulated power elites.

5. You are absolutely correct!

Defy your boss' orders and you're fired. While a noble thing to do, I bet most if not all of the TSA agents can't afford to lose their jobs. It's not the low paid worker bees that need to refuse to follow orders and get canned. Would you, if you couldn't afford to lose your job?

edited to correct meaning: can to can't

4. I feel sorry for them, actually!
They must hate what they must do to keep there jobs as much as passengers hate having the required pat down. But, hey....as things stand now...we all might and probably do much that is distasteful to us to just keep the job that we have, all things considered. I plan to fly at Xmas and if, per chance I must go through the enhanced " pat down", I plan to tell the poor sap that has to do it I do understand the unpleasant position that they are in just now in having to do it.
