Sharron Angle, still decoupled from reality

LAS VEGAS — Republican Sharron Angle says she was shocked by her Nov. 2 loss to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, but in looking forward has "lots of options" to weigh as she decides her next political step.

"I will always be involved in politics. I have a lot of options next cycle," Angle told the Lahontan Valley News. "Lots of options."

Nevada's other U.S. Senate seat is up in 2012 and as many as four congressional seats could be in play by then. Angle, a former state representative, said she also could seek a term in the Nevada Senate.

A favorite of the tea party, Angle has stayed mostly out of the public arena since her loss to Reid, and the interview Saturday with the newspaper was her first since then with northern Nevada media.

Angle told the newspaper she was shocked to have lost to Reid after some polls showed her leading in the weeks leading up to the race. Angle fared much better rural areas than urban ones and had harsh words for voters in the bigger cities of Las Vegas and Reno. ...........(more)

15. Until about 2 or 3 weeks before the election, it was Reid with a tiny lead -

then it was Angle. However, the LV models built in incredibly strong Republican turnout and weak Democratic turn out. Reid's GOTV was very very good.

The John Kerry, who raised $14 million for 2006 candidates.

The John Kerry, who is STILL working hard in the Senate on important issues.


Frankly, THAT is what not giving up trying to make the world better is -- certainly not Angle, peeping up saying she could run again. You obviously mean not contesting Ohio - with no proof that would prove beyond a shadow of doubt he won (which does not exist to this day) and to a court controlled by Republicans.

There is no way George Bush establishment types wanted her in the Senate, and exit polls showed a one point difference. They have stolen elections before, and would rather have a Democrat than an anti-New World Order Tea Bagger in there.

But Rand was leading by 15 points, so they couldn't. Oh don't get me wrong, neo-cons hate Democrats. But they hate Ron Paul (paleo-libertarians) and Pat Buchanan (paleo-cons) types even more. They don't want the Republican party being taken over by these types.

Neo-cons want One World Government NWO. Angle talked about fluoride in the water. The far-right thinks the government is poisoning them. Angle may be a nut, but she's no NWO Republican. Another anti-NWO type was Joe Miller. Hmm. Ken Buck too, who was leading in exit polls. Hmm. The only other besides Rand that won was Mike Lee in Utah. Another they couldn't steal, because he was up by 30 points.

for several months before the election.

Still, his campaign didn't relax. They had a really good ground game going here, almost equivalent to what they did for Obama in 2008. Union members came to our door two or three times, plus several telephone calls. If the Democrats could manage such an effort elsewhere they could counter the impact of Citizens United money in most blue and purple districts, I think.

But it wouldn't have to stop there. Like the fabled machine organizations of yore, they could use the registered voters lists to keep in contact between elections. Let members of the D community know about jobs that may be open, where to go for aid if a crisis hits, etc. You can't pay people for voting, but providing information and a sign that you care about their lives is priceless.
