Has anyone started an Obama scorecard of good?
I was just perusing the Bush scorecard of evil, which lays out in full all of his evil deeds between the time he took office and October 20, 2003. (What a sonofabitch that man was!)

http://www.jesseberney.com/scorecard_print.html

I've seen several people lately argue that Obama has done a massive number of progressive things since assuming office, but the MSM hasn't been covering them, and even though I'm all up on the DU every single day I haven't heard about all the great things Obama has done. (And check my post count if you don't believe me. No, really, check it. :) )

Bush's evil deeds were regularly reported on in major papers such as the New York Times and the Washington Post and on news channels such as CNN, but the logic goes that the MSM doesn't like Obama so they don't cover the good things he has done.

So has anyone made a scorecard of Obama's progressive accomplishments to counter the evil that Bush did EVERY SINGLE DAY IN OFFICE?

'Cause right now it feels like a lot of these evil deeds are going unavenged.

4. I'm entirely tempted to post some of this stuff
just so we keep in mind just who the enemy is. (And by "the enemy," I don't mean just Bush.)

5. it's pretty horrific...
:scared: ...i posted a few things, a week or so ago in a thread. the one discussing bush's arrogant (and simultaneously clueless) claim that the worst moment of his career, was kanye's accusation. :eyes:

if i recall correctly, the insurance industries that wanted personal information (which bush allowed), the healthcare providers that got away w/not treating anyone for anything they disagreed w/morally, among others...corporations, managed healthcare, the list goes on and on of all who were complicit in chipping away at, or outright destroying freedoms. :(

don't get me started on all that was taken from impoverished people. heartbreaking.

6. Not to threadjack my own thread
but Bush really did lead us in a game of whack-a-mole.

Every damn DAY was something new and horrible.

How do you fight against it when this is ONE MONTH? (7/03)

Bush continues to push for new nuclear weapons.

Bush proposes weakening Head Start.

Bush obstructs September 11 investigation.

Bush exposes an undercover CIA agent in an act of petty vengeance.

Bush threatens veto if Congress overturns new FCC rules.

Bush creates a system where people can invest in the possibility of terror attacks and international upheaval.

Bush shuts down nuclear weapons advisory panel.

Bush promotes a federal ban on gay marriage.

(And trust me, any other month would have been just as bad.)

...was the bane of his existence, and it had to go. why regulate auto emissions? then that damned clean air would be fuckin' his shit up again. Energy star? fuuuuuck that. no going all soft on the environment--fuck the environment, NO clean air on gw's watch. smog, pollution and napalm in the morning rocks, dude!

:eyes::sarcasm:

was the man allergic to anything that may do someone, anyone--anywhere on the planet a little bit of good? did he get some sort of thrill from enabling evil? seriously did anyone check his scalp for the 666? it's gotta be there, i know it!

did you read (from that site) where he refused to declare "gay pride" month, unlike any other pResident, before or since? my other personal favorite was his solution for single mothers (when he wanted to cut welfare), was to tell them to "find husbands." :puke:

...that is profoundly fucked up. the man is a sociopath.

Americorps and Teach for America were awesome programs, that provided loan repayment for students after they completed a certain amount of time as professionals, to underserved areas of the country. I knew people going to school hopeful of taking advantage of the program, only to see gw dismantle it.

18. That's the list that STILL doesn't contain the NAFTA fib, among others.
Lame when a site called "politifact" is itself of dubious integrity. :hi:

19. That site also fails to note the President's broken pledge on Gitmo...
So, the only promises that count are the ones made during a campaign? :eyes:

First, however, a quick note. We've gotten a ton of e-mails from readers urging us to rate this Promise Broken. Obama promised to close the detention center within a year of taking office, the argument goes, and he has not done that. As we pointed out in our last update, however, he made that statement after taking office, not during the campaign. The Obameter only tracks promises that the President made on the campaign trail, when there was no such self-imposed deadline.

13. There are lots of lists of Obama's "achievements", but most of them are mostly bunk
The one's I've seen contain an awful lot of "expressed support for $Legislation$ which has not actually passed" or "Came out in favour of good idea $y$" or "made a speech about $z$", and only relatively few substantive achievements.
