snip:
Hundreds of people waving flags, holding signs and wearing patriotic clothing gathered in Harrisonville, Mo., for the funeral of 20-year-old Jacob Carver. Carver was recently killed in Afghanistan. There was a brief scuffle between people supporting the Carver family and members of the Westboro Baptist Church.

1. WBC is hated by pretty much everyone
but they still keep doing this.

Outnumbering them seems to be about all anyone can do in response. They came to san Francisco years ago. I don't think they've been back since. Outnumbering them doesn't even begin to describe it.

4. I think that's about the only common ground between us and the freepers - everyone hates Fred Phelps

5. I can't wait to see Kevin Smith's new film Red State
It's basically a psychological thriller centered around a Kansas church with a Fred Phelps-type character as the films' main antagonist.

6. Scuffling with them is a bad idea.
They look for ways to sue people. Unfortunately, they win. That is how they support themselves.
