7. they take precautions. They have separate planes.

This isn't the first time they've appeared together for an event. I'd be surprised if there was something that said they can't appear together.

8. Huhm. I must be misremembering ...

... but I could have swore it was something to do with succession that said POTUS and VPOTUS weren't supposed to, basically, be in the same place at the same time (in addition to the 'odd man out' for SOTU gatherings).

:shrug: Maybe I watched too many Kennedy Conspiracy shows on the History Channel.
