Is anyone else bothered by this kind of service?

Over the past few months I've been hearing a commercial on LA radio (KFI) advertising a service that will scan the Internet looking for anything negative about you and have it removed while promoting anything positive that they find. So, for a fee, you can wipe the slate clean of anything that might reflect poorly on you.

Once again....is this a problem for anyone else?

1. It's a scam, of course

1. Most of the ads you hear on radio, especially talk radio, are scamsters like gold, debt farming, tax farming, "hydrolyze," "The Boston Group" (caverject prescription mills) and the like. Legitimate advertisers generally avoid talk radio because of its "controversial nature."

2. Anything this outfit could do anyone can do themselves with a Google search and a site's "report this post" button. It won't be any more successful for them. They can't "command that it be removed."

I think you are right about legitimate advertisers staying away from talk radio.

I suppose my problem is that it appears that nothing is sacred. What is real and what is false. This is so "in your face" with regard to truth telling. I just shake my head.
