SAN DIEGO -- A suspicious package found at the trolley station on the San Diego State University campus was determined to be harmless by investigators.
A report was called in shortly after 1 p.m. after a package deemed suspicious was found inside the SDSU Transit Center on 5500 Campanile Drive. SDSU Campus Police said the item was found by trolley security.
10News learned the package was a bag and authorities detected a chemical that was not in danger of exploding.
http://www.10news.com/news/25897869/detail.htmlWell that was fun. I was ON the trolley. They took us on buss to campus, and the response was impressive, including the bomb squad. Yep I made the comment to the young Republican complaining...THAT is the function of government! It is the same kid I have had a few discussions in the past.
Damn and I didn't go yesterday to avoid going home at night. Alas it is dark out there!
Yes got my research done at the library, but this was fun. Really...
And from my experience in EMS most packages will be harmless, but there is always the ONE...
And no, this don't mean we need nude o'scopes, just alert citizens and security officers... Which is how this one came to be.
Oh and 'nother gripe, my back is killing me!
