Security Expert on Public Radio: Until all airports get the body scanners, they are worthless!
He said anyone wanting to do blow up a plane will just board at a small regional airport, with no scanners, and then fly to a big airport, while still behind security lines and then take a flight from there and blow up the plane.
He said there is no need to roll these out until the whole country can be equipped with them. All it does is make people feel safer.

3. Yep.
I don't think the solution is to install more of these things.

4. Uh, even then they're still worthless.
Stupidest piece of mass hysteria that ever made a Chertoff rich.

6. Bingo
They're zero defense against a jihadi with an ass-loaded bomb. Maybe we should figure out who to exclude from searches, and spend more time on the Yemeni exchange students, and such.

5. These scanners are worthless at many levels
but there is a small detail on this. If I fly from oh... my local regional airport (your hole) to oh Lindberg Field, I STILL need to go through security. Here is where the hole is though... and exploited once already. I can take that small plane, and crash it against a building... no fuss, no muss... it's already happened by the way.

Oh how do I know? Air Ambulance services can and do land at small regional airports, but if they land at Lindbergh well then you get to go through INS and all that. If you land at the regional... you don't...
