As if a bell tolled a neighbor's trouble, folks came running.

Harrisonville, Mo. is a small town, just 20 miles from where I live. It did my heart a lot of good to read that thousands lined the streets to keep hate mongerer Phelps and his clan from desecrating yet another fallen soldier's funeral.

thing at a heartbreaking time.

2. Fred Phelps is bringing the near-warring political factions in the US together

if only for a few hours daily. Amazing how one group's hate can breed cooperation and understanding.

3. Fred craves attention

when he doesn't get it he steps up the rhetoric until he drags people back into his madness. If people would ignore him he would probably shrivel and die.
