4. Hey, cool--first two replies : from a Bruce fan and an E Streeter |
:fistbump: (and I'd been thinking of wording my reply similarly to yours, but haven't seen MTP in too long to really comment on it beyond "from what I hear".)

2. I don't know; haven't watched Press The Meat in a long time |
but from what I hear,in its present form, it'll rot your brain even more than dancing With The Stars (which I've never seen either). But your more general point about the current ( and I fear permanent) idiocracy is well-taken.

5. It Would Be Better If.... |
There were as many liberal tv "news" and talk shows as they have the other. Secondly there are afar too many shows where they have the "he said/she said" screamers argue so loudly that the viewer has no idea what the real point was. PBS used to be fairly balanced with their guests but by the time I stopped watching it each show was a blood bath of conservative views slashing their way through the liberal guests hearts every time. You don't mind debate but when both sides do not get their points across you find the viewers switching channels--to anything including Prancing with the stars(that is the holiday version)!

9. If 24 million more wached Meet the Bullshit Press, |
we'd be in a heap of trouble. They would salivate on being able to spread their propaganda to that many folks in one sitting.

12. TV is a good medium for entertanment, but a poor one for in-depth thoughtful discourse. |
People who fancy themselves as smarter than "idiot America" are fucking kidding themselves if they're getting their news and analysis from television.
