That you don't see ANY of it actually happening (apart from a few people fleeing past Les), and the producers KNEW it would be better not to show it, but to just have Les reacting to it, and then the gang back at the station reacting to Les' report is what really makes it work... goes to show that "Les (Nessman) is More"
