That inmate being Tom DeLay. (Inmate # is made up)

He will not get probation. He will be serving a very long stretch for what he did.

1. Why are you convinced he will get jail?
Edited on Fri Nov-26-10 07:14 AM by hlthe2b
I should think that he would, but to the extent you buy what is being reported, it sounds like he might not. As pointed out in one article I saw, the fact that as a convicted felon, he can't run for office or vote until his sentence is completed; presumably that would include the period of a long probation. The appeals courts are also stacked with "friendly" Rethugs....

2. Huntsville
would be just right. I'm sure the hard core felons up there would really enjoy "Hot Tub Tom."

3. None.
It will hang up in appeals for years... And then a deal will be cut exchanging jail time for washing cars once a week.

5. De Lay will never go to jail
Either Perry will pardon him or the corrupted Supreme Court will overturn his verdict.

7. He'll walk with probation, bet a nickel for shore.
Mark my words. Big fine, lots of friend of the court briefs, no time.

8. Anyone who actually believes Delay will do a long stretch in jail, if any, is in for a surprise.
In this real world it is very unlikely to happen.
