The NFP political party
NFP meaning Not For Profit! That's what we need, a party that's not into politics to get rich. Professional politicians go into politics because there is a huge amount of money involved as well as contacts that can transfer into money and power. I would like to see a party where candidates pledge not to receive any monies other than their salaries. Campaign donations would be limited to buying airtime on tv and printing campaign materials and no monies are used to enrich candidates or to buy lavish gifts or treatments. Until we take the money out of politics, there will be cheaters (Hi Tom Delay, how's the beans in jail?) and those who want to buy influence and elections.
