So I Guess It will Be The Korea's That Break US

......We are spending MEGA BUCKS in Iraq and Afghanistan and it is hurting our economy because we in reality are borrowing the money from China....SO!!!..Where will we get the BUCKS to help the SOUTH battle the NORTH.... I don't think China is going to help us defeat them by handing us a blank check...

If we have to fully engage I guess we will probably sink further in to DEBT...

2. I am admittedly an optimist ...
... But, if North Korea were to launch a full-scale attack, I suspect we would have much more global support than we do for Iraq/Afghanistan. Everyone knows that Kim Jong-Il is a nutcase.

3. You do realize that whether we borrow it from China or someone else...
we still sink further into debt?

If the North and South go to war we have no choice. As a signatory to the ceasefire, we would be at war. We also have 28,500 troops stationed in Korea who would come under heavy artillery attack on the opening seconds of any war. It is possible to see as many ten thousand U.S. dead on the first day.

5. There won't be a "battle"
NK's leadership understands that if they really start a major war, China isn't going to back them up, because such a war will hurt China's economy and thus the pocketbooks of China's leadership. The days of Chairman Mao are long gone. China sees NK as a useful irritant, but nothing worth getting into extreme hardship over.

NK will saber rattle, blow up houses and ,unfortunately, people, but once they get some more "concessions" they will go back to abusing their own people.
