Poll question: You agree or disagree
A person in China is an equal human being to a person in the US. Each is just as deserving as the other.

2. Is there an answer to that that would make you think either is not an equal human being?

Really? Is there an answer that would cause you to question the equality of people?

19. Yes.
There's a hierarchy. family--> friends--> community--> fellow citizens--> everyone else.

You are asking ME who is deserving. They fall in that order, and when push come to shove, people all react the same way.

Someone in China has less a claim to my attention than my fellow citizens with unmet needs. I have no doubt that the 1.3 billion citizens of China feel the same way.

Unless you're asking God, the answer to your question is no. Any normal human being will feed their own starving child before anyone elses.

6. You must not have seen any of the Thanksgiving Genocide posts yesterday...
If you had, you'd not ask this question as the answer would be OBVIOUS... Persons in China are MUCH more human than persons in the US. Okay let me clarify that: Persons in China are MUCH more human than those US citizens who can trace their US ancestry back to colonial days.

17. Pretty pictures of young Native American girls and hyperbole.
I'm a card-carrying member of the Cherokee Nation. I hold dear to my heart the numbers your people assigned to mine (the "tribal roll numbers") with things like the Dawes Rolls. Your feelings of guilt are lost on more people than you can imagine.

I celebrate Thanksgiving for a thousand million different reasons, as does my family. My family on the fucking res in Tahlequah (who by the way include Tribal Elders and many elected representatives) celebrate Thanksgiving, without remorse. They see it as something you and yours cannot understand. It's a fucking meal. Your white guilt at the treatment of Native Americans at the hands of European settlers and your notion of attonement for the sins of YOUR fathers is totally lost and misplaced in the context of a Thanksgiving Dinner.

You want to do something for those who were here before you and yours came and fucked this place up? Find some TANGIBLE way other than trying to feel guilty and make others feel the same way. Do something other than post pictures of pretty Native American girls. Do something than put your seriously good Photoshop skills on display.

I'm fucking sick and tired of people telling others how to feel about things they had no control over and that what happened HUNDREDS of years before they were born shape who they are now.

Pass the fucking turkey, and next time spell aggressive with TWO g's.

It's a fucking wash. It's one day a year. You want justice? Force YOUR family to somehow attone for the injustices suffered by Native Americans at the hands of white people. That's the ticket. Don't think though, that you can with your Photoshop skills do ANYTHING to make up for past transgressions by posting pictures of pretty Native American girls. How fucking stupid is that?

Take your fucking guilt and focus it on things that might make a difference, rather than trying to make people who have no guilt other than their skin color feel guilty about gathering friends and family together to give THANKS for the chance to be together and share a common experience of love and community.

Feel good.

18. "Your white guilt" - Você não sabe nada de mim.
I understand you are angry, but it is not with me.

Look inwards and ask yourself why your posts are reactionary and counter-productive, and why you feel the need to put me down in some way in every reply (you have done this for years and I have a long memory).

For example, notice I did not question your ethnicity, but you question mine, and you make blatant racist insinuations based on your fictional image of me.

"focus it on things that might make a difference." That is good advice. I hope you meant it.

11. I'll take it a step further
Workers in the U.S. have more in common with their counterparts in China than we have with our own ruling class--we both have the ruling class as the enemy.

Where are the unrecs coming from? This is a simple yes/no poll with a simple question. Moral and ethical human beings vote yes, xenophobes and tools of the ruling class vote no.

21. Not only that, all Californians are equal human beings to Floridians even though they are thousands
of miles apart.

;)

I suppose there are some who think that crossing an international border changes the human equation while crossing a state border leaves us all equal human beings.

23. Sorry, but this is misguided. Chinese buy less, eat less, consume less...
In strict terms of biomass, they are simply more expendable, on a per capita basis, than Americans. I mean, they're not as expendable as Bangladeshis, but still....
