1. The large Mormon population in that state gives Willard Romney and advantage
The state is only 12% Mormon, but they are largely concentrated in the Republican Party, so the caucus could be like one quarter to one third Mormon.

Palin's region is the South and the Midwest, save for Romney's Michigan, Daniels' Indiana and Governor Falling Bridges' Minnesota.
