Being a stupid criminal ought to be a crime
A local Toyz R Us store was robbed. Turns out it was an inside job. Surveillance video shows the robber being kissed by a store employee immediately before he entered the store to rob it.

She was nabbed at the store. He remains at large.

1. My favorite story like this was years ago - Marvin Barnes was a star
basketball player from Providence College - really troubled fellow, drugs, etc - so he carried out a robbery, and was wearing his jacket with the school name...and his name! Needless to say, he was caught rather quickly.

A very sad story, really - all the talent in the world, made the pros got a good contract, but ended up wasting it all...wound up homeless living in California in the 1980s.

2. Sounds like a candidate for Tru TV's "World's Dumbest Criminals"
Edited on Sun Nov-28-10 12:08 AM by rocktivity
Which I happened to watch earlier this evening. It featured:

a DUI suspect who asked to unhandcuffed long enough to scratch his crotch

a man who ran his car through the window of a liquor store, grabbed some booze, drove out, and was tracked down by the trail of broken glass

a trio of guys on a beer run, one of whom fell out of the getaway pickup truck

a woman who literally lost her shirt trying to dive into a cash register, and returned to the scene of the crime rather than go topless

a man who was let off a warning for being four miles over the speed limit, but gave the cops permission to search his car, resulting in them finding 10 pounds of pot!

He showed for over five years that one of the best methods to escape after robbing a bank was to take a bus.

5. I liked the one about...
a man who robbed a convenience store one snowy winter night. Police followed his footprints to his house down the street and arrested him.
