Pivotal moment in Korea

As someone who has studied the Korean Peninsula for a long time I can say that any weapons fired on this battle group could signal a drastic change (possibly war) with NK. It is entirely possible that Kim Jong Il is sick or close to death and wishes to finally "unify" both Koreas. It just might be that crazy. They fired on civilians recently, killing two soldiers and 2 civilians. It's not that they fired. It's that they fired in civilian areas. Very unusual. In the past it was for concessions and free aid but that path has almost dried up. The problem with NK is that they're a crazy cult of personality. Can't really tell. Though there are a lot of rumors going about NK worker movements (Massive withdrawal of NK workers from Russia) that point to ominous conclusions.

I don't want to get too indepth but I'm willing to answer a lot of questions of what I know.

As a basic introduction to those with no clue about what is going on over there and just how isolated NK is as a nuclear power. Witness this nighttime sat photo of the whole Peninsula. The South is our place. The North is well..... dark....LIGHTBULBS! NK has 8-9 million soldiers with a fairly advanced total war technology including a couple thousand artillery pieces raining hell down on SK for at least the first few weeks until our air power had cleaned up.

Which I suppose the whole question being posed -- how many of those lights are shut off until the artillery is..eh, maybe.
