How will history remember Dick Cheney?
Edited on Sun Nov-28-10 10:28 AM by Uben
He may have made a deal with the devil, but he too will perish. How will history remember Dickhead Cheney?

I will always remember him as the sorriest piece of shit that was ever elected to public office. Greedy, immoral, and always willing to do anything to enrich himself and to manipulate things to look like something other than what they are, always to his benefit.

I guess it provided him with a comfortable life since he obviously has no conscience, but he has stained the Cheney name for eternity, and has stained the good name of the U.S.A. That is a price that only a worthless piece of shit would be willing to pay for success....and he did.

A fitting tribute to him would be to cremate his remains and promptly dump them in a fucking septic tank.

The funny thing is, he thinks he is a leader. I guess he is, in a way, leading his followers over a cliff. Then, he'll sit back and laugh because the fools were ignorant enough to follow him. I can picture him rummaging through the dead bodies at the bottom of the cliff, removing jewelry, stealing wallets, and taking body parts as souveneirs. That's how I see Dick Cheney.

Wonderful man, Dick Cheney! Lovely plummage!

1. History generally doesn't remember VPs unless they become president later on. (nt)

4. Cheney -WAS- president for most of the period 2001-2008
I think he will be remembered as the Wormtongued mongoring paranoid high chancellor of the neocon junta that led the nation as W pedalled his tricycle around on training wheels.

22. Cheney will be noted by historians more than any other VP ...
... because he had a greater impact than any other VP.

The administration of GW Bush will be judged the among the worst (probably the worst ever) and Dick Cheney will be recognized as being the driving force behind the destructive foreign/military policies moreso than the presidential figurehead Dim Son.

5. It depends upon who is writing the history.
I usually have to read 3-4 history books about the same event to fathom what probably happened.

Maybe some day someone will write his true biography and we'll get the truth about just how evil he really is. We don't know nothing yet.

on the latest threads page and quick clicked over to "Breaking News" before I read the message. My bad.

Dick Cheney will be remembered as the puppetmaster of the Bush presidency. He's the poster boy for all the failed policies of the first decade of the 21st century. He may not have started all of them but his follow through was impecable.

10. Dawes, Curtis...most likely...
probably comparable to Nixon/Agnew as an operative...

without some great amount of 'disclosure' all of the 'history' will be about dubya, the clown prince....

there are always the facts...but the history written around those facts is always dynamic...and, after all, the 'winners' write the history...

15. You can bet ur ass they won't help!
I honestly cannot think of one good thing to say about the man. About the best I can say is he has not been convicted of physically killing anyone himself. We all know he has caused the deaths of tens, if not hundreds of thousands of people in the Iraq war. Heck, he may even be responsible for 9/11, but I'm sure he has erased all possibilities of that information ever surfacing.

25. That's why I said cremated.......
....destroy any DNA that's left so mankind will never have to endure the likes of him again!

Cremation would also breakdown the tons o shit he is filled with, so the bacteria would have nothing to gain. All they would get is the evil that is impervious to flame. Somehow, I picture the ground above the septic tank as strewn with giant Venus Flytrap plants
trying to suck up everything they can and funnelling it down to the evil left behind.

so.

Myths are almost impossible to combat here (Cf, "Oswald, Lee Harvey").

29. If Cheney got what he really deserved he
would fade into obscurity, having no long term effect on the country. He would be mentioned in a footnote in the history books as an obscure VP who ruined his chance at greatness because of his greed, warmongering, and cruelty. However, in the long run, he was a total failure.

That would be if he got what he deserved - total failure.

30. Please do not malign shit....
shit or manure is actually very useful. It can be used to create natural gas and then the left over material can be composted to help the soil for your garden or flowers.

OTOH, dick cheney is not that useful except as a member of the criminal class.

33. What would I say to Cheney, if given the chance?
I wrote this poem for GW Bush when he left office, but it applies to Cheney just as much if not more:

I’d tell you to go fuck yourself
But that is much too kind
Because if you could perform that feat
You’d take pleasure in your behind

I’d like to say eat shit and die
But you deserve much more
You should suffer all the grief and pain
Of your misbegotten war

Though I can never make you feel
Or think, or understand
I’ll take solace when you hear your name
Cursed throughout the land

From inside a lonely prison cell
Dark and bare and cold
Where every day you pay for your crimes
Till you’re sick, heartbroken, and old

And when you finally leave the earth
You fucked over oh so well
If there is a God and afterlife
You’re going straight to hell.
