Driving in Central Florida yesterday and I'm stopped at a red light behind a BIG ass pickup truck...
A pretty new Ford F150 pickup truck.

It had a "choose life" yellow license plate that has a little kids hand-print in red on it.

Then I notice the small bumper sticker on the lower left chrome bumper.
It's black and the white print on it says the following: "Support the troops, especially the snipers".

A "choose life" license plate with a "support the snipers" bumper sticker.

Only in Florida.

sigh...

18. Most here don't, though
If anything deserves a license plate plug, it is the scenic beauty of the state, not an agricultural product (just one among many).

3. Pure tribalism...
...the numbers of Our tribe must constantly be increased, at any cost. But the Other tribe -- they're not actually people.

8. Unfortunately, it's not just in Florida

I've seen stickers like that around here as well. And on passenger cars as well as large pickups. Now my question is, why put a sticker like that on a nice truck? Trucks usually have a higher resale value than cars and putting on a sticker like that reduces the value of said truck.

10. Some people don't care about the alleged resale value.
I have stickers all over the back of my truck. I plan on driving it until it wears out-so far 19 years and 130K miles.

12. Don't blame you
And only 130,000 miles in 19 years? You may have that truck forever. That isn't very many miles in 19 years.

11. I've known two snipers
one from 'Nam and one from Desert Storm (Gulf I) - they were both BATSHIT CRAZY! The first was a also a drug addict - pot, heroin, anything. Worked as a handyman.

The second is even scarier - a successful businessman in the "security business" - hiring out mercenar - i mean "security guards" - all over the world. Katrina was a "big break" for his new business getting all kinds of money to arm his little army with the latest gadgets.

He wanted to give my son a shirt one time. A shirt that had a bullethole (and blood) from one of his "kills". My son was 11 at the time. :eyes:

ago I saw a bumper sticker with a pic of Bush asking me if I miss him yet.

I would never deface someone's property, but it was all I could do not to write a big "Hell no" on that thing.

16. Oh, it's not only Florida
Try NW Virginia and West Virginia -- you'll see that kind of bumper sticker hypocrisy everywhere here! Except here the same trucks are usually accessorized with rubber testicle hitch covers. Remember, "Happiness is a warm machine gun!" (bumper sticker, next to the Christian fish emblem, espied on a truck bumper at a local grocery).
