Students whipped into a frenzy... by alcoholic cream topping

Students are being whipped into a frenzy by a new alcoholic concoction ... whipped cream.

Liquor stores around the University of Central Florida said tins of Whipped Lightning - labelled Whipped Cream With A Twist - are infused with alcohol and are flying off the shelves.

The Whipahol Drink Toppings come in different flavours, and the alcohol content is fairly high at 18 per cent - more than three times the amount in most beers.

6. In my teens I knew a couple of girls that traded sex for coke, but none that did heroin.

Since I wasn't a fan of venereal diseases, I avoided them. While I have done lots of opiates in the form of pain pills and have been administered morphine a few times in trauma settings, I've never done heroin. If you are trying compare 4loko to speedball, I think that might be a bit of a stretch....

11. To me there's several orders of magnitude difference between 4loko and heroin.

I suppose if one is straightedge there may be little distinction, but as someone that isn't I don't see the similarity.
I do recall a former DU'er "TominTib" that asserted that heroin was not physically or psychologically harmful. As a child of a junkie, I am rather skeptical of that.

13. The drug itself is not damaging, but it is very addictive.

That's where the damage comes in. It takes control of your life. Tobacco and cocaine are more addictive than heroin. Both are more damaging than heroin if we are talking purely physical.

I've tried just about every drug, but tobacco was the only one that got me addicted. They say tobacco is harder to kick than cocaine, and will kill you if used as directed.
I haven't smoked since 73, but I know if I smoked one cigarette I will be hooked again. What I have done is I promised myself if I lived to 95 I can start smoking again.

7. Oh boy, something else to ban,

I know you're going to take offense to this, but they should. just. give. up. They'll keep coming out with "fun" alcohol and other-substance products clearly aimed at the under-21 drinking set and they'll keep banning them.

The simple solution, being that this crap costs R&D money, is to just give up and accept that they're beaten, that there will not be be an allowed new product on the market targeted to college students.

This one might have passed muster if they'd gone for 6%ABV rather than 18%ABV.

9. This stuff has been around for a while

I saw it at a liquor store over a year ago and considered buying it, but it was overpriced. Although I don't think the kind I saw was quite as high as 18% ABV.
