5. Crackdown on whistle blowers. Everyone in the game knows
this shit has been going on forever, it will be no revelation to Powers That Be. They ultimately probably don't give a shit and will continue through life unscathed.

16. Whistleblowers inform that a bank does not lend to blacks
felons dump classified data. You will not die in prison for a whistleblowing event, you get federal protection. But hey manning will get some federal protection, in florence, until he dies.

19. Is that your definition, or your opinion?
"You will not die in prison for a whistleblowing event, you get federal protection." Good to know.

Assange releases some more shit a while after the hoopla dies off, rinse repeat.

21. Very Little Effect...
It's informing...sometimes amusing, sometimes shocking in reading these cables (assuming they are legit...we shall see) but it's like listening to locker room talk...stuff that goes on behind the scenes...speaking out-of-school in many instances. It shows strategizing for negotiations and the many thoughts that go into these games of high stakes poker. For historians this may be an insight but for the "Average Joe" it will have little consequence. In this self-absorbed country for many all they care about is their immediate environs...making money or holding on to what they have. For those who want to believe in the worst of this country there's plenty of stuff to go with, but beyond the chatter here and the blogosphere the interest isn't there.
