AlArabiyya and Aljazeera websites on Wikileaks

On Aljazeera, they have a brief article but without any reference to the revelations about Arab governmental lobbying for an attack on Iran. Al-Arabiyya is busy with other news: they have one story about how the Saudi King "walked on his own feet" and another saying that the Iranian airline company has a Star of David on its building. I kid you not.

These Arab tools are worse than the worst accusations

4. From what little I've seen, early indicators of the Wikileaks dump show the Arab world is complicit

in it's own shitstirring and trouble making, even as they have historically blamed the "west" and Israel.

Much of their turmoil can be directly attributed to their leaders, even as their leaders have been pointing fingers at "the west".

A caveat however, I've only just gotten online after a few days off and am not up to speed on all of this, but my initial reading leads me to this assumption which is why Al Jazeera and other Arab outlets are suddenly quiet about reporting this news.

The cables names Saudi donors as the biggest financiers of terror groups, and provide an extraordinarily detailed account of an agreement between Washington and Yemen to cover up the use of US planes to bomb al-Qaida targets. One cable records that during a meeting in January with General David Petraeus, then US commander in the Middle East, Yemeni president Abdullah Saleh said: "We'll continue saying they are our bombs, not yours."
