Yes, the US spies on all of our allies. And all of our allies spy on the US too, to whatever extent they're able. If that surprises ANYONE, then they need to go back and reread some history. Being "allies" doesn't mean any nation neglects it's own self interest, including trying to make sure they come off the best in any negotiations, and know exactly what to expect out of other countries.
