4. Done because the more visibly he is supported the safer he should
be.

I have a feeling the winner will be the quitter from wasilla whose mane I prefer not to mention. The country is so dumbed down at this point that she probably has a good shot at winning.

2. that's not necessarily a complimentary award
Bush and Hitler were both named person of the year by Time. Of course, in Hitler's time it was called Man of the Year seeing as how women weren't considered important enough back then.

5. it's been a joke ever since 2001 when they named Giuliani instead of Osama Bin Laden
as person of the year. it was always about what or who made the news, not about whether they were good.

but in 2001 they got scared and named Ghoul because the morans would think they were rewarding Bin Laden if they named him.

7. With all due respect, professional wrestler Mick Foley won the online vote
One year, that poll has no credibility and there is no evidence that Time will give it any credibility.

14. Why not promote the president who presided over passage of the greatest collection
of "progressive" policy reform in a generation? Yes, that's President Barack Obama.

I agree that, like him or not, Assange has been a remarkably important person this past year...

with intellectual honesty that I can respect. The nice thing is that this is all on a sliding scale so you can vote for both, awarding them points as you see fit. Thanks JD.
