TURN over RELEASE of Wiki Leaks Documents..I need more information...I turned to this...
Edited on Mon Nov-29-10 06:53 PM by KoKo
It was a view that Chris Matthews and CNN didn't provide to me. I listened to this and decided that the Wiki Leaks was a GOOD THING and not a Bad Thing as I was thinking...

Maybe this will help some of you decide whether it was a Good Thing or Bad Thing for Wiki Leaks to do this.....

Anyway...it was a comfort to me.

http://www.democracynow.org/

And before you TUNE OUT because of the Website...I gotta tell you that this was a comprehensive view from folks ACROSS THE SPECTRUM about Wikieleaks that gave me more INFO about International Relations than listening to CNN, MSNBC, or FAUX NEWS (which I have to admit is not ever what I watch, prefering "mainstream spin" over RW, Fundie Propaganda).

So I was looking for info about Wikileaks and wondering why so many DU'ers thought they were TRASH and there was "Nothing New There...Just move Along...zzzzzzzzzzzzzz's) and when I went over to this site I at least got some "Counter Spin."

Believe it or Not....Something Good has come out of this DOCUMENT DUMP. I wasn't sure BEFORE...BUT I AM NOW!

http://www.democracynow.org/

NOT MANY DU'ERS have the Time or Effort to seek OTHER NEWS SITES...and I often don't have time, either, but this was an EXCELLENT DISCUSSION... Because, I was questioning what I was hearing from Wikileaks and Julian and wondering if I had been "HAD" and the guy was corrupted in some way with CIA or worse!

Listen and see if he is as corrupt and that the Wikileaks was a "zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz's" as many are telling us it was.

2. People here on DU ...don't like it for some reason...........
I don't understand why. And, I don't listen to them all the time...but when I need verification for my Liberal Values I gravitate over there. I was so disappointed with CNN, MSNBC, NYT and the rest in reporting over WikiLeaks that I needed to go see what the "REAL LEFT" was reporting...and it was GOOD and made me feel better about Julian and his WikiLeaks.

I was having questions about the release of these documents on our US National Security... Now I feel it was a GOOD THING these Documents were released...and that This is JUST THE FIRST BATCH!

5. I tried with that "Morning Joe Thingy" ...I did..and it started to get me Crazy with the Spin...
because when you REALLY LISTEN they are all about CORPORATE AMERICA and "MIKA's FATHER" and the GLOBAL VIEW of the WORLD!

Scarborough is just the SECOND WHEEL to MIKA (the entitled Child of Ziggy B.) as part of the WASHINGTON BELTWAY INSIDER GROUP that's controlled Politics since NIXON!

READ! RESEARCH! PUT NAMES INTO GOOGLE SEARCH...KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DEALING WITH!

23. It's a comparison born of frustration. While listening to DemocracyNow...
I open DU and see that Morning Joe is dominating the discussions.

22. What I liked was the varying viewpoints about the WikiLeaks...it was better than MSM ever gives us!
I felt bette about the release when I listened to this show. I think that it was a good thing for the release...whereas I wasn't sure when I read the NYT, WAPO and other sites saying it was making us less secure because of the release and that nothing "NEW" came out of it.

The "Democracy Now" listen showed me that there was MUCH MORE that came out of the Leaks than the MSMedia was trying to tell me. I was very glad I watched it..which is why I passed it along.
