scrooge as a blueprint. . .

various stations are running multiple versions of dickens "christmas carol". as I was sort of watching one this morning, it occurred to me that one of the problems with our corporate masters is that they all read dickens--the first part of the book, that is, and decided that THAT scrooge was to be the blueprint for how they were to act in the world. pity that none of them ever has bothered with the rest of it. I can only wish that those three spirits would visit the banksters, thieves, etc.

(of course, I think these are the same people who read "1984" and thought it was also a blueprint, not a critique) reading comprehension courses, anyone?
