2. Then let them all expire and keep introducing Senate bills for middle tax cuts
we can keep going to the well on this one if they don't fold

the cuts can also be retroactive to take effect on 1/1/11 so there will be no change to the amount people will pay on 4/15/12 so long as it does eventually get passed

3. So the answer SHOULD be: then no tax cuts period and it's YOUR fault. But probably we'll
think of a way to give them even more in the name of "compromise."

4. Cantor needn't worry.
I'm sure President Obama will give them everything they want. And probably more.

5. It's frustrating cause the Prez is a parent. You stop tantrums by making it plain they don't pay.

6. Kabuki Theater Act II
A deal probably has been cut...and my bets are the booosh cuts for the rich stay in place for another two years. It'll be trumpted as the "great compromise" but the theater hasn't gotten there yet. Unfortunately the House vote to keep the breaks for those under $250k will fail...the final "kiss" from the Blue Dogs. The corporate media will then surely say how this shows how "the people" (who they project so well) want EVERYONE to have the cuts. We'll see a little more posturing and "let make a deal"...Schummer has already upped the ante to $1 million. As time runs out on this Congress and the tax cuts some "white smoke" will appear over the Oval Office and voila...the great compromise will unfold.

7. there is no logical/financial reason to extend the tax cuts for the rich. none.
if the dems cave on this one, it is political suicide. the base may be gone for good.
