7. We just moved everything, our savings, checking and

mortgage to a local credit union--thank goodness!! I had wanted to do it for a long time and finally got off my duff and did it.

8. I like credit unions, generally, but...

A few years ago our local credit union changed its charter and is now a bank so that it could sell mortgages and investments.

The whole idea that you, as a member, own a part of the credit union was wiped out in an instant.
