Are WikiLeaks and Anonymous Letter simply media distractions? |

Do you think these items are meant to distract attention away from economic news?
Do you think there is potential for a worldwide economic collapse?
There is certainly potential for a total economic collapse in the US: What effect will that have on other economies in Europe and the rest of the world?

1. It is possible for Wikileaks to be a front, but I doubt it. Anonymous? Simply put, no. |
|
Anonymous is nonhierarchical and everchanging. Could you fool Anonymous temporarily? Probably. But all it takes is one of them to realize what you're doing and provide proof of it and you are in for a world of hurt. One of their most important rules is that Anonymous is not your personal army. People who have tried to convince Anonymous to fight their battles for them in the past have lived to regret it.

2. I'm sure the NSA has discovered Anonymous. Why are they awaiting a news release about prosecution? |

3. You can't 'discover' Anonymous, there's nothing to hide about them. |
|
You can arrest individual Anons, like that kid in Denmark, but frankly I'm pretty sure that just pisses Anonymous off even more and gets them to take additional security steps if they're at all serious (like using proxies and such). And there are a lot of them.

5. Like many things Anon, it was probably collaboratively written. |
|
Just because it shows up in one place doesn't mean some Anons didn't get together and all have input.
In any case, putting a manifesto out that explains why some people are doing some things is hardly illegal.
