Just got through to Harkin's office and was told that |
|
he probably won't be out participating in the fillibuster. Let the young lady know that I hope he will reconsider and that it is important for Iowans to hear from their Senator on this issue of the compromise.

2. Has he come out against it? Or, is he like one of my Senators, Cantwell, who |
|
hasn't taken a stand? :grr:

6. The other day and today when I spoke w/Cantwell's office the initial response is |
|
"she voted against a tax cut for the wealthiest Americans". Obviously meant to appease those who aren't following this. :7 I said, I understand, but what is her position on the "framework" that Obama has introduced?

5. Called Boxer and was told 'she hasn't issued a statement' on whether |
|
she will be helping Bernie Sanders or not.
So, I guess she has not yet taken a stand either.

7. It's frustrating - the least they could tell their constituents is "she's asking from |
|
input from her constituents and studying this further so she can better make her decision, she'll issue a statement immediately when she does."
That's what I'd do anyway! :7

8. I wonder if you know why |
|
Harkin voted against the bills that split the rich from the middle class tax cuts. These votes took place last Saturday. One vote split the dollar amount to $250,000. The other vote was $1 million.
Feingold voted against it as well. And each of the WVa senators voted one of them down.
Am I to surmise that Harkin wants the ALL the tax cuts to expire???? I just didn't understand.
