3. Senator Sander's courageous and informative long speech

will not stop this terrible piece of tax legislation from passing. But, I'm reminded of the line from
"One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest", when Jack N. replied about the hopeless bet he made, said "Well, Goddammit, at least I tried".

Sanders will always be remember for his heroic effort. Meanwhile, Sherrod Brown may well take the
fall. He is still young. I believe the Democratic establishment will drum him out. Too bad because he is one of our best.

I'm not sure what to say about Senator Landrieu. She mostly votes with the Pubs, but, there she was yesterday, one of the great three. She must have some good things going inside her mind. Thank you Senator.

4. Well, we can at least find some consolation in the fact that millions of

Americans won't suddenly find that their unemployments benefits have
been cut off. I expect that some of them would even have been going
hungry, not knowing where their next meals would be coming from. Now
they've gained 13 months in which to find a job, and some of them
will.

5. Everything you have said is the truth and very understandable.

However, that obvious truth should be weighed against the possible "truth" in the near future that could be far worse,effecting many more people than now as a result to caving in now to the Republicans. What I'm trying to say is that I believe the current compromise will be far worse in the long run than if we had resisted now, even though some needy would be hurt.

9. Yes, corporate CEOs are grabbing all the money they can lay

their hands on by means fair and foul, not only to enrich themselves
still further, but also because money is power, and they intend to
use it as a means to further their goal of turning this country of
ours from a democracy into a plutocracy. They intend to turn this
country back into a feudal state of the Middle Ages, of which they
will become the lords and masters, and the rest of the people will
be their servants.

They have been working on this for a long time. F.i., owning 90% of
the news media is an extremely effective method of brain-washing the
people into complacency and ignorance, so that they do not see what
is really happening. Corporate CEOs are already more than half-way
in reaching their goal.

6. Why aren't the teabaggers rallying around Bernie?

I thought they supposedly were a populist movement (in the sense that they were mad at Wall Street and the bailouts) while at the same time wanted less taxes for Main St. It seems to me that Bernie's position on this issue falls pretty much in line w/that.

And since they are supposedly non-partisan, why aren't they speaking out in favor of what he is trying to accomplish? :shrug:

It's too long. I imagine most people don't even have a knowledge of the
main points of what he has said. That's one reason why I posted a brief
excerpt of a few of his main points. It will take time, Iguess. But then,
it's hard to predict how the Teapartyers will react. It's possible that
individual Teapartyers will react differently.
