to hold his feet to the fire.
But we're not doing that. Instead, we're joining the republicans in crapping all over the President and then accusing him of stinking. I'm having a little trouble figuring out how that works to our benefit.

1. Sanders and seven other Senators are negotiating better provisions. |
|
In our favor. They're not joining with the republicans.

2. Is not rebelling against what one believes is a bad decision "holding his feet to the fire"? |

Criticism is necessary when looking out for one's interests.

3. I've never agreed with that line. You do what is right because it it right, |
|
not because you are made to do it or you require your feet be held to the fire. As LBJ would say, that dog don't hunt.

4. In terms of "crapping", the President might also consider wiping himself. |
|
I don't recall anybody here criticizing the President because they "just didn't like the look of him". Rather, I have seen criticism and outrage regarding the President's having sold out Democratic principles to Republicans and special interests time and time again.

5. How Do You Hold His Feet To The Fire? |
|
If you do not challenge him when he is on what appears to be the wrong track? I am not buying the argument that we may not know all that he knows because many people more versed on this type of issue have all said that he is being played by the rethugs yet he persists in taking the words of the rethugs over that of democrats because he wants to be post-partisan.
